Essential Pearls: Sihr & Marriage

via: weheartit.com

Q-The sihr (magic, witchcraft) can affect the marriage?

A- Praise be to Allah.
The saahir ( person who practises sihr) takes things through which affects people with magic. Sometimes it is by illusion or making things  appear  to be something else:
"Then behold their ropes and their sticks, by the magic he had used them seemed to move [as if they were real snakes]." [Ta-Ha 20:66]
They perform actions that alter the appearance of things in the eyes of people to see things differently than they actually are, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And when they threw, they bewitched the eyes and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic." [Al-A'raaf 7:116]

Words that create illusions to bewitch the eyes of people, to see a rope as a snake or a stick like a snake moving, when in fact not a snake but a stick or a rope.

You may also bewitch people in other ways, for a man to be repugnant to his wife or vice versa. They do these things bewitching eyes, giving evil potions they get from demons or tying knots and blowing on praying to the demons instead of Allah and seek their help to hurting people. Thus can a man can imagine that his wife is not the woman he knows, and she may seem ugly and disgusting, or vice versa, because of what these criminals have done. So magic can be of two types, one of which includes illusions and deception in the eyes from seeing things as they really are.

The other type includes the so-called al-sarf and al-'atf (spells aimed at creating hatred or love), which is carried out by blowing and tying knots and using potions made by inspiration of demons. This second type can make a man love or hate his wife, or vice versa. May also affect a person's relationships with people. So Allah has commanded us to seek refuge in Him from the evil of those who blow on knots and every evil ..

  1. Rather than trying to adjust our sweetheart in modifying his / her mind, When i made a decision to just find singles clear which has been far more crucial to me personally -- getting along with them or getting hitched.
