A Homemakers Monday Flow

Bismillaah

الحمد لله الرب العالمين خلق الجن و الإنس لعبادته و امرهم بتوحيده و طاعته و اشهد ان لا اله الا الله و اشهد ان محمدا عبده و رسوله, أما بعد:

All praises are for Allah, who has created the Jinn and mankind for His worship and who has commanded them with His Tawheed and His obedience. I testify that none has the right to be worshiped in truth besides Allah, and I further testify that Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم is His slave and messenger.

As to what proceeds then the best speech is the book of Allah and the best guidance is that of His messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم and the worst of affairs are the newly invented matters in this noble religion of Islaam. Every invented matter is a Bidah (Innovation) and every Bidah is a going astray and every going astray leads to the fire of hell.

As salaamu alaykunna

Happy Monday Friends!!!

I didn't update the blog due to internet issues. So hopefully this week I will be sharing our homeschool journey of last week with this weeks post. In shaa Allaah.

Thank you all for being patient!

Let's talk about having a homemakers Monday flow!

I'm not interested in a Monday Madness. You know the madness where we scramble around looking for things, getting frustrated, having our homeschool unorganized and then crawl into a ball, in tears due to the anxiety of it all.

Nah, I'm not interested in that at all!

I'm interested having a Monday Flow. Living life easy, peasy, rice & cheesey.

Here are my tips for a homemaker to establish a Monday flow that will set the foundation right for the week In shaa Allaah.

1. Make Fajr on time

Nothing goes right if your prayers are off. I don't personally expect to have a successful day nor week, if I dont make my prayers on time.

If you have problems making your prayers on time (especially Fajr) ask Allaah to make it easy on you to do, and get a buddy. You should have a friend that is strong in this area and can help you by calling you or texting you to wake up.

Also ask your spouse to help you.

2. Wake up and stay up after the prayer

I'm a total broken record on this but it is a total fact that if you do this, you can get so much done in your day. If its too hard to wake up and stay up after Fajr. Pray to your Lord for the strength to do this. Go to bed early, and push to get up and stay up.

If you stay up after Fajr you can organize your homeschool materials, study the deen, clean your home and listen to a lecture, blog, take a moment to do nothing and just chill or catch up your fav blogs.

You don't loose out for getting up early, and Allaah knows best.

3. Write it out honey! Write it out!

Think about things you want to do. Design a to do list for the day. So while your sipping on your green tea or chai tea, write out your days plans. As I get older *gasp I'm older now* I rather just wake myself up when the rooster starts and write my day out.

Sometimes I want to stay in bed, and I may do that on the weekends but I know when I don't get up early I can't have a functioning household. Writing out my to do list keeps me on task, focus, and organized. And I find I have more time to get things accomplished that I personally want to do. Like blog!!!! :D

4. Exercise

Look do a 10 min Pilates stretch and then hit the showers! Build yourself up, and take care of yourself. It will make you feel good. You can squeeze in 10 - 20 mins of some form of exercise and take a quick shower.

Once we get married, have children, etc. some of us make it a death sentence.

You still can take care of yourself and do all the homemaking task you desire. We have to start our day just a little bit earlier then the rest of the world. Taking care of your health is going to help your Monday have the flow it needs to get you going In shaa Allaah.

5. Mental/Emotional Health

Do something, say something, that will do wonders for your mental & emotional health. Listen to Qur'aan or a self help vid. Mental & emotonal health is oh so important and many people tend not to think about it at all.

6. Refresh your style and look

I will tell you something, something small you can do. When you finish taking your shower and your sipping your tea, put on some lip gloss and some khol.  That's it.........and I didn't say do more because the complaint I read is that some women don't even want to put anything on because they find it pointless when they have to watch children all day and they aren't going anywhere.

Your husband counts too.

And you count as well!

I remember before I became Muslim that I cared about how I looked before I faced the world.......why does it have to change because nobody sees it but you, your husband and your kiddos?

Happy Monday!!!!!
