May Allaah bestow His peace & mercy upon the Prophet, his family, his companions and on all of those who follow them in truth until The Last Day. Aameen
As salaamu alaikum beautiful people and howdy !!!
If you guys don't know, I like to curate my own Islamic studies playlist. It's wayyyy better to blast some beneficial ilm (knowledge) then to listen to music. If you're feeling low in eemaan (faith) or need something to enjoy while in the home then I got the playlist for you!
We are going back to basics! This playlist is for those who are new to Islam or just want to go back to basics to get schooled all over again. I have playlist already on the blog and you can listen to them here and here.
As salaamu alaikum and salutations humans!!!!
We are into our sixth class at MP and I'm happy! This class is one that I've been thinking about doing for some time and now I'm glad to announce that I'm teaching a beginners drawing class.
This class is for those who want to learn how to draw simple and cute characters. In this class I'll show you my simple steps and certain techniques I personally use for drawing.
As salaamu alaikum homies!!!
Welcome to the Quran Journaling community! You guys are so awesome.
This is a project I really want to do and its close to my heart. It's geared towards journaling our Quran readings and Islamic Studies.
You should start journaling because it will help you remember what you read. When you remember what you read then you can apply what you learned. This is one of the biggest benefits for journaling your studies.
One of my favorite things to do is decorate my notes and Quran readings. I know some of you may be pressed for time and can't decorate or you may want to decorate but don't feel creative. Then I have something fun for you!
You have 99 problems but memorizing The Qur'aan shouldn't be one of them. If it is then do know you are not alone. There are many people from around the world that have not memorized The Qur'aan. And while there are many folks who have not done this, there are plenty of people who have memorized The Qur'aan in its entirety.
This awesome news means several things but I'm gonna focus on this one thing: They have shared their tips and methods for memorizing.
Happy Sunday friends!!!
I decided to do a new feature on MP. I'll be sharing different scholars you should know about every Sunday.
Who are the scholars?
Who did they study under?
Where are they from?
Hey hey hey friends!
Today I want to talk about diy embellishments. I'm sure you want to save some money (so you can purchase other planner & craft items!). Well, I want to save money but at the same time. I couldn't find any embellishments that represented what I wanted. Now no matter your background, you can apply these steps to make your own for your planner, journal or any other creative project your working on.
On Instagram I recently put a post about how I really am getting back into my studies. I mentioned that if anyone was interested I was gonna share my Islamic studies playlist! Well, this blog post is all about the scholars & students of knowledge. I hope everyone enjoys and benefits.
✨Writing In The Quran✨
I personally don’t write, highlight or use tabs inside my Quran.
When Quran journaling I write everything in a separate book 📖. This is based off the following:
Shaykh bin Baz was asked about writing in the Mushaf, he replied:
It is impermissible to write anything, nothing is to be written in the Mushaf. It should be devoid of anything but the speech of Allah – glorified and exalted be He – no footnotes should be written, neither any symbols of tajweed nor anything else. Because it’s a must for the Mushaf to be safeguarded and solely contain the speech of Allah – glorified and exalted be He.
Howdy friends! I'm so excited to share that I'm doing my yearly Fajr challenge. If you've been around these parts for awhile then you know I'm not new to doing challenges - especially this one. In fact, the Fajr challenge is one of the first challenges I've done and shared since I've been on social media.
But some of you guys are new here and I want to share what the Fajr challenge is all about.
As salaamu alaikum and salutations friends!
Welcome to Mariam Poppins!
I am so excited to be teaching my fifth class under my beginners creative course guide.
This fifth class is all about character development: working with faceless images. I transition to faceless images from working with images with facial features many moneys ago. However, when I open my studio it was then that I had to learn how to develop character that people would want to use in their planners, journals or use for their own business.
It took a lot of studying - in fact I am still studying about developing my characters more and more each day.
If you're feeling inspired to work with characters that have no facial features and getting them to pop then this class is for you.
So umm maybe you are like me and got on the hobonichi weeks train kinda late! I was being flooded with so many hobo pics that I was very curious to see what a hobonichi is like. Fortunately, they have a hobonichi that starts in April but I did notice that it actually started with March? What's a girl to do with those blank pages?
As salaamu alaikum and howdy friends!
I am excited to announce my fourth class under my line of beginners creative classes. I enjoy sharing my ideas, tips, thoughts and creative projects that are Islaamically beneficial with everyone.
Ramadan is closely approaching and I really wanted to do another online class that is creative and beneficial for the blessed month.
Howdy, hola and hey you guys!
I wanted to talk to you all about The Happy Planner Sticker books and all the anxiety going on. I’m not a Happy Planner babe like most people are in the planner community. I’m more so the free-flowing type. I have no loyalties to a brand (except for when it comes to journals – then I have my main apple scrapple lol). Yet, I noticed that in the planner community people have been going through some major anxiety with these HP sticker book releases.
Its been a while! I'm happy that I had some time to sit down and write a blog post.
I've been drawing since 2016 when I started Bullet Journaling. I was doing doodles and then I started to do more things and now here I am in 2018 doing illustrations for the shop and various businesses....
Time has change! And I wanna talk about what I know for sure when it comes to this art journey..
