Howdy everyone!
We are starting up our homeschool sessions on Monday and we use play dough for the little children. The children use play dough to mold it into shapes, numbers, letters or to help develop fine motor skills. We use play dough not only for play but as tool for learning. Nowadays play dough has come with so not some welcomed ingredients! Over the years I've made my own and it's always been a fun activity to include the whole family on. Here is the recipe I used.

There is no secret that I love homemaking. There is also no secret that I love femininity. These two are my favorite topics! It's about time I shared some of my favorite looks that are practical and beautiful for any homemaker! I'm a mom of 6 children and they are all close together in age. So, I know a thing or two about the need to be flexible. I've read from several women that it is impossible or nonsensical to dress up and attend to the children all day.
Marriage is a beautiful institution. Al Hamdulillaah it has its benefits.
Yet marriage is work! Everyone has to put in an effort to match each other's work. No marriage is perfect, there will be ups and downs. Ins and outs. Tears & smiles. To keep the marriage healthy and strong there are at least 10 habits that healthy couples have. What are the 10 habits of healthy couples you ask? Hey you guys!
I hope you guys are awesome! I am so excited to share with you all that our new book is out and available for purchase! If you've been keeping up with the audios then you'll know that me and the hubs have been doing our talks on Polygyny and we decided to make those talks into a book. Happy Thursday! On Thursday's we do DIY projects here at MP! And I found a project that is super simple and easy that the whole family can enjoy. Today we are making washi tape bookmarks friends! Yaaaayness!
Your husband wants to take a second wife.
For some sisters, this will sting like alcohol poured on a paper cut. For some sisters, they are actually ok with it. Everyone takes the news of a pending polygynous situation differently. Tears, confusion, insecurities, depression, etc. Husband comes to you and says: I'm interested in taking on another wife. What is your reaction? What are your thoughts? Are they halal? What's going through your mind? Here's what we are not going to do: It is not surprising to hear women say: "I hate homemaking." or "I find homemaking to be rather bland and boring." It's not crazy to hear that. In fact, it is pretty commonplace for most women.
We have some choices to make when it comes to how we feel about homemaking. We can choose to be angry, upset and resentful when it comes to the cleaning, laundry, taking care of the children, and cooking, or we can choose to feel something else. Yaaaayyyyyy! Go You!!
You are pretty awesome! How often do you root your friends on, but leave yourself out? We are awesome cheerleaders for our friends, family members, and even complete strangers. It's time to show yourself you are TEAM YOU! Here seven awesome ways to start being TEAM YOU! I love writing about being a homemaker. And its important to remember that everyone can be a homemaker, but not everyone is a Muslimah Homemaker :-). So this is a series on the blog simply called: Muslimah Homemaker, where I share tips, thoughts, and various aspects of homemaking with an Islaamic foundation. Because Islaam covers every aspect of life and Allaah has made this deen perfect!
I know you guys heard the phrase before "Play hard to get" when it comes to dealing with a man.
What is playing hard to get? Playing hard to get means: to deliberately adopt an aloof or uninterested attitude, typically in order to make oneself more attractive or interesting. A lot of us have done this before, right? And a lot of us do this in marriage. Welcome to Mariam Poppins!
Mariam Poppins is known for having themes throughout the month and though we have taken a break from that, we are happy to announce that we are back to having themes for the month of July & August. Feel free to reach out with theme suggestions for the month of September & October. Here are the themes: Monday: Motivational Monday Tuesday: Fascinating Homemaking Wednesday: Polygynous Talk Thursday: DIY Friday: Organization & Productivity Saturday & Sunday: No posting Happy Friday!
I've been doing some contemplating and listening to several motivational speakers and I was really moved by this speakers talk about "What's your why?" It really touched me, enough that I had to come on the blog and write something. It made me look at my homemaking career differently. 1. This story was written injunction with a series on the blog about dealing with Polygyny which I shall revamp.
2. If Polygyny bothers you then please view all the other articles I have written on this blog. 3. I apologize in advance if you don't like the unedited rough cuts. Feel free to edit and send me the copy of my work :) (with written permission) 4. Have fun! It's just a story that I hope can be a benefit. 5. Please do not copy my story without written permission. I ask that you fear your Creator. Taking my article and claiming it as yours or featuring it on your site without my permission is stealing. People that steal are called thieves. If you aren't a thief then please remain from taking my hard work |
