Today I want to talk about feeling like a failure when it comes to homemaking. I've had several of those kind of days where I felt like I was a total failure. It's so easy to just give up because the feeling can be so overwhelming. Let's talk about it friends.
There are some days where the sink is over flowing with dishes, the kiddos hair looks unkempt and you've missed some worksheets for several subjects in homeschool. It feels like there is not enough time in the day and not enough hands to help out with all the kiddos and chores. Argh! I remember one time just breaking down and crying in the salah.
Tonight I even had a moment where I had to deal with the whispers from the Shaitan about how I'm behind on certain priorities. Subhana'Allaah. I found myself in the prayer crying and asking for guidance and help.
You look at your friends and all the stuff online and it sometimes have you questioning your worth. We've all been there and done that and it'll probably happen again and Allaah knows best.
Or maybe you feel like a failure day in and day out. Its like you are living your life on repeat. :( May Allaah make it easy on all of us Aameen
Change your mindset.
You are not a failure. You are work in progress. Nobody is born into this world knowing everything. Some days I'm good and some days I'm a train wreck.
This is when you have to make your mind recognize and process things differently.
Your mind needs to see setbacks as an opportunity for personal growth and development. This is an opportunity to get back up, dust yourself off and keep moving forward.
It's ok to have some fails. It's really how you react and how you bounce back that is going to separate you from everyone else. Don't give up on yourself and your abilities. Just keep moving forward and only look back to see how far you've come. We put so much weight on our shoulders. Subhana'Allaah it can be so tiresome.
It's ok to not get everything right and fall a couple of times. But never back down and never throw in the towel. You are beautiful. You are awesome. Enjoy your life and live every moment and also enjoy the process.
The process of growing, failing, succeeding, and jumping over hurdles.
