Instead of playing hard to get - be hard to FORGET

I know you guys heard the phrase before "Play hard to get" when it comes to dealing with a man.

What is playing hard to get?

Playing hard to get means: to deliberately adopt an aloof or uninterested attitude, typically in order to make oneself more attractive or interesting.

A lot of us have done this before, right?

And a lot of us do this in marriage.

Ladies, I'm telling you today, please don't play hard to get in marriage.

When you married your husband, you already figured out he's the kind of guy you want to spend the rest of your life with. If you didn't figure that out prior to marriage then maybe you need to figure out why you married your husband in the first place. Playing hard to get is rather annoying and perhaps a tad bit childish.

Have you ever thought to be hard to forget? I mean wouldn't you rather wow a man and be the quintessential woman than to be the woman who isn't showing any type of interest or potential. I think the woman who plays hard to get is rather bland. She doesn't show any substance and perhaps a guy may consider her childish.

Marriage is an investment. Everyone in the marriage is investing their time and their interest in a partnership, that is supposed to aid them in this life and establish them in the next. You cannot seriously be investing anything if you are too busy acting like you don't want to be there in the first place.

Be the woman that is hard to forget. She works well with her hands, deals with the children properly, loves her husband correctly, and has a beautiful attitude and is very much so into her deen. A woman who loves Allaah and puts her relationship with her Creator before anyone and anything. She knows how to be a homemaker and have proper adhab.

That woman right there is hard to forget. That is the kind of woman that will stay in a person's mind.

The woman that is hard to forget is the woman who:

Makes her prayers on time

Who makes taubah to Allaah often and reminds her family to do so

She knows that this life is temporary and the Hereafter is the big picture

She is a source of encouragement and beneficial reminders

There are so many ways a woman can be hard to forget.

Remember this, if you play hard to get, then you may be easily forgotten. We are adults and marriage takes serious work. This is serious business folks! We can't take it for granted and we must give our all in making it successful.
