A year in review part 1

Salaams and howdy, homies!


I’m supposed to sit down and write something for my blog and have it ready to go out by Monday but lately I’ve been super busy and mentally all over the place. I can’t believe the year is already coming to an end! Let’s do a little recap of what’s been happening here at Mariam Poppins.

This year, we’ve illustrated six children’s books! Some of them began last year while I was pregnant with my daughter. It definitely wasn’t easy to balance morning sickness with book deadlines (lol), but we made it through! I even did a mini vlog during that time.


Some of the books we illustrated are now officially out in the world:

I can’t reveal the covers for some of them just yet, but I’m excited to share more sneak peeks in the future.

And of course…the biggest, best, most wonderful thing that happened this year was the birth of our baby girl. Am I used to all the changes? Nope, not really. I’m still figuring out how to squeeze everything in while managing all my little humans, but, it’s all part of the adventure.

There are a couple of other things that happen this year. So stick around for part 2.
