Bismillaah
As salaamu alaikum beloveds!!!
It is 2020 and I'm super excited to see where my Quran Journaling plans work out! Have you decided to Quran Journal? Are you still sitting on the sidelines, trying to figure this out? Well I was like you around 2017 and it wasn't until 2018 that I got myself together and got in a groove that changed my life.

"With a increase in knowledge, certainty, and the purification of our intentions, our faith is given a fertile garden in which to grow and prosper..." (Taken from : My Home My Path).
My plan for 2020 and of course beyond is to grow in faith.

Quran Journaling has a way of helping with that by the permission of Allaah.

What is Quran Journaling? It is a creative way to document your personal study of the Quran. As you read the Quran you record what you learned and your thoughts as you strive to increase in eemaan and ilm. Journaling will help you memorize and reflect on the Words of Allaah.
You can start your journal in more than one way:
  • Themes
  • Based off memorization of the Surah you are studying
  • Inspired Journaling
  • With A Surah you are interested in reading

Now that you started journaling, you need to keep up the momentum.
1. Pick a time of day where you can best read and journal the Quran
2. Journal what is easy for you at the moment
3. Seek assistance with Allaah in doing such ask Him to help you memorize, learn, and reflect upon the Quran
4. Make Tawbah.
Some people follow the SOAP (in bible journaling) method when doing their layouts.
I like to follow  my own approach to doing a layout called "IQRA"
I: Intentions
Q: Quote
R: Reflect
A: Action plan
Make sure when you reflect that you reflect upon the meaning and understanding using the Tafsir. And when you quote, quote exactly what you see with no additions and subtractions.
May Allaah bless you all on your journey and feel free to share with me your journals!
