Howdy 👋🏽 friends come on in. ☺️ It’s been a minute since I’ve written a real blog post. If you peek around, you’ll see older posts about classes (helpful! just different). Today I’m scribbling something new.. I’m ready to share fresh thoughts, family adventures, tiny lessons from everyday life, and the creative fun I have as a children’s book illustrator. What is this blog about? What is The Scribble Community about?Scribbles as a starting place Around here, a scribble is a fun beginning. It’s how ideas sometimes show up. wiggly, honest, and full of potential. Thoughtful creativity for little humans (and big ones, too) You’ll find kid-friendly SEL ideas, kind communication tips, and simple activities that help feelings feel less… tangled. Something I would have liked to have had as a child. Behind the scenes of illustration Mixed media, art, stop-motion experiments, process peeks, what I’m learning (and figuring out), and resources for authors who are bringing their children’s books into the world. Phew…sounds like a lot but I got this! Home & heart Notes from our family scribble table… homeschool moments, library runs, family time, adventurous weekends, and the ordinary things that shape our days. Community & resources Downloads, printables, teacher/parent tools, and spotlights on women telling their stories with courage and care. It’s important for us to share tools and resources that help others. How we’ll roll We are aiming for a steady rhythm, short, helpful posts you can read with your tea, plus occasional “Scribble Notes” when something timely pops up. No stress. Just my scribble thoughts. Your turn I’d love to hear from you. What would you like more of? behind-the-scenes process, Tell me in the comments. If you want new posts delivered to your inbox, pop your email in the box below and you’ll hopefully won’t miss a scribble. Thanks for being here. —Ameenah
