Salaams and howdy friends!!!! wow it’s been awhile since I’ve wrote a blog post!!! But I’m really looking forward to sharing my thoughts, ideas, tips and more with you all. My name is Ameenah and today I’m gonna give you the deets on some of my fav art supplies! Get your snacks, some tea and let’s talk about art! StabiloMy main thing!!!! I love the Stabilo Woody Color Pencils. I’ve seen them used by many and I’m so glad I took the opportunity to purchase a set. When I’m painting papers I use these for mark making . Carand’AcheCarand’Ache are very interesting! I use them for mark making and laying the background on my painted papers. I have the assortment of 30 Neocolor II Water-soluble Artists' Pastels set. They have so many products I want to try, but I went with this as my first product. Here I am in the above video using them. I just scribble with them and then added water. Crayola Portfolio Series Oil PastelsCrayola Portfolio Oil Pastels as you can see my are messy! But I really like these!!! You can add water to them or not. I like to add water, just a little bit. As I go through my illustration journey, I'm starting to realize what I need for my style of art…maybe we should talk about that in a post?!? Posca markersPosca markers - I have these in extra fine tip and broad chisel. I use these to draw/doodle and for, mark making. These markers are acrylic and come in a nice range of colors. I believe there are some I have that I haven’t used yet… I have so much more I wanna share when it comes to art supplies! But here’s a bit to get you started.
