Chances are if you're following me on Social Media then you will know I just started reading the book Miracle Morning. I've only discovered the book a week ago so you aren't late with what's going on. I recently had to do some spreads for a guest post on another blog that I write for. I was asked could I do some "Miracle Morning" layouts for Bullet Journaling and of course I agreed! But I had no clue what MM was and what the book was about. I did some research and found myself really enjoying the book.
Today I want to talk about feeling like a failure when it comes to homemaking. I've had several of those kind of days where I felt like I was a total failure. It's so easy to just give up because the feeling can be so overwhelming. Let's talk about it friends.
So let's get the party started! I'm always talking about scheduling and planning. I talk about my love for stationery and all of those things. But none of these things matter if you don't have a schedule or system that works for your life and Allaah knows best. How many of you guys generate your own schedule? If so, has it been working for you?
How many times have you been on Facebook or at a sisters gathering and over hear a sister talking about her husband? She maybe laughing with her friends and she may make a subtle joke about her spouse, or you have some that will be very open and frank about their spouse in a manner that does not make their spouse look good.
Or perhaps you are not at a gathering and you are home. It's just you and your husband, and you decide that you can talk to him in any kind of manner, maybe because he made you upset that day. Or perhaps you no longer care about his interest due to loosing respect for him. Have you found yourself talking to him as if he was one of your children? Did you realize you was openly sighing when he starts talking or stating his views? How about those eyes, are you rolling them as he talks to you?
Everyone is too busy with their responsibilities to even think of a date night, right?
No matter if you are married with children, you still have opportunities to have an awesome date night with the hubster.
We just have to be a tad bit more creative then most folks. Which is no problem here at Mariam Poppins.
Date night doesn't have to be your typical "date night." What do I mean by this? What I mean is, you don't have to have a sitcom date night for it to be considered an actual date.
Start thinking outside of the box ladies!
I cannot believe October is pretty much gone and November is rollin' in!!!!
Can you believe the year is almost gone! Wow! With a new month brings about a new Plan With Me video and a new journal
"Reclaiming my time."
"Reclaiming my time."
Where did that come from? Maxine Waters that is....
“Mr. Chairman, I thought when you read the rules, you acknowledged that I shouldn’t be interrupted and that I would have —” Mnuchin says to committee chairman Rep. Jeb Hensarling.
Happy Thursday everyone!
I have a series on the blog where I'm going to share some simple things I do to get closer to Allaah. If you aren't sure what I'm talking about then you can check out the introduction to this series. My goal is to help myself by implementing things I can realistically do to get closer to Allaah in my life.
Wow! I'm so excited and didn't think it would be some time this soon that I would be announcing that MP Studio will be selling stickers in the shop! It is such an awesome thing to be able to use the artwork that I take my time on and enjoy doing as stickers for my bullet journal.
Happy Tuesday to you and thanks for being here!
I remember when I first took my shahadah (a testimony or declaration of faith that people say when they want to be Muslim) and I had a lot of zeal. I read so many books and made all the prayers on time. It seemed so easy because I found something by the permission of Allaah that I needed ever since I was a youth and didn’t know anything about religion, I found guidance. I loved rules and being told instructions on how to pray, what to wear, what to eat, and to get closer to The One who created me. I was always praying to Allaah for guidance and help as a young child, so much so my mother thought I was going to be a preacher.
As you guys know I've been Bullet Journaling for a year now and it's been one of the best things I've done to keep myself focused on completing my task. Bullet Journaling is the only way I schedule and plan my day. But as of recent I've been using another method to keep me on task, recommended by my husband called the Pomodoro Method. What is the Pomodoro Method?
Hey everyone and welcome to MP! I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying this awesome fall weather so far. September is pretty much almost gone and it’s time to setup your planner. To me setting up my planner is the fun part and it’s pretty much an awesome productive hobby that I do! Today, I want to share how to use digi stamps to decorate your planner and some info about them. I also want to share my layouts for my bujo for October. Lets get started.
I used to scribble your name on my papers
And I imagine your smile within my thoughts
Sometimes I wonder how I got there
I never thought I had a chance
So many sad lullaby's and distorted truths
I never thought I had a chance
In another world I'm a little bolder
A little bit more creative with a pen & a pad
In another world I have enough energy to chase you & to listen to all your stories
In this world I'm currently thinking of you
With my head in my hands & with so many thoughts
I just wish I could show you how much you really mean to me
Why do we let the storms we deal with change our minds from the times I used to scribble your name on my paper?
Oh how I long to be back where I was or at least be able to go through the storms with the understanding that they are meant for us to grow through together and not to tear us apart
I get nervous that I'm just too cheesy for my own good
The Shaitan creeps in and I doubt myself all over again
But in my mind I'm a legend that has this amazing ability to put all my thoughts into actions
I'm thinking of you...
But my thoughts are not enough
I can't imagine my life without you
Your face calms me
Your determination always inspires me
I'm thinking of you
In awe of you
I love you Abdullaah
As salaamu alaikum and Welcome to MP!
Today I want to share with you guys my desire to start Qur'aan Journaling and why. I love both of these two things and I'm excited to combine them together and do something that I love and that will help me remember Allaah.
As salaamu alaikum and welcome to the blog!
I am happy that you guys have stopped by to read about our homeschool plans for September. Let's get the party started shall we :)
